Tata Tigor diesel recalled for emission related issues

Tata Motors have recalled a batch of Tigor diesel units having emission issues, the owners are being contacted by dealerships for the recall.

With the increasing air pollution and deteriorating air index, the auto manufacturers have to be on their toes with the emission technology present in their vehicles. After the major emission scandal by Volkswagen, every other manufacturer double checks their emission system. But, this time it’s the Indian manufacturer Tata Motors which has announced the recall of Tata Tigor diesel to rectify the potential emission issue.

The cars manufactured between March 6, 2017 and December 1, 2017 and bearing chassis no. from MAT629401GKP52721 to MAT629401HKN89616 are recalled. The number of units recalled is not specified by the company but the estimated number will be around 8000 units. However, the cars are safe to be driven as there are no other issues.

The owner of the vehicles will be contacted by dealers to get the issue rectified at the nearest service centre without any cost.
