Tata Motors has launched the XPRES T EV at a starting price of Rs 9.54 Lakhs (Net Price with Fame II Subsidy) in the country. Being the all-electric version of the recently launched Tigor EV for the commercial fleet owners, Tata XPRES T EV is the first product under the XPRES brand which was introduced in July 2021 in the Indian market. It is aimed at mobility services, corporate and government fleet customers while offered in two range options - 213 km and 165 km (ARAI certified range under test conditions).
The all-electric sedan will come with a premium black theme interior cabin with Electric Blue accents while automatic climate control will come as a standard feature. The XpresT 165 will be offered in two variants namely XM and XZ while the XpresT 213 can be availed in two trims in the form of XM+ and XZ+. It will get zero tail-pipe emission with a single-speed automatic transmission. The standard safety features on board will be dual front airbags and ABS with EBD. The XpresT 165 houses a 16.5 kWh battery while the XpresT 213 will be powered by a 21.5 kWh battery pack. The former will have a 0-80 percent charging time of 90 minutes while the latter can be charged from 0-80 percent in 110 minutes. The aforementioned charging time is for a DC fast charger. The sedan is also chargeable from any 15 A plug point.
