All-electric Tesla Cybertruck reached the milestone just four days after it’s launch. Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk suggested in a tweet that the company has received more than 2.5 Lac bookings so far. Musk has been publishing tweets and giving updates on the number of orders the company has received.

Tesla had opened the bookings of the Cybertruck right after its unveiling. In fact, the company took bookings for a mere 100 $ which is refundable.

The booking fee is quite nominal when compared with the $1,000 the company charged for booking Model 3 sedan in 2016.  However, not all bookings get convert into actual sale of the car as many are likely to be cancelled and money will be depositors. Tesla is planning to begin manufacturing trucks around late 2021.

The truck has an outer body made up of stainless steel which was used in rockets. The truck is priced starting at $39,900 that failed to impress the Wall street last week after the demonstration of armoured glass did not go as expected.

The Cybertruck’s specifications are impressive as it can do 0-100kmph in under 6.5 seconds!

Also, the truck is available in 3 drive options - one, two or three electric motors. The single drive motor with no quoted battery size has a range of 402km. It can tow 3400kg of weight with 1360 kg of payload.

The Cybertruck is expected to be priced from $39,900 (around Rs 28.65 lakh) before any government incentives.  Next in the range is the dual motor variant that offers an all-wheel-drive that can do 0 to 100kmph in under 4.5 seconds and can tow 4,500kg. This variant is said to cost $49,900 or Rs 35,83 lakh before incentives.

The top variant uses tri-motor ‘Plaid’ EV powertrain that is priced at $69,900 (Rs 50.20 lakh).

This variant can do o to 100kph in under 2.9 sec and has a battery range of 804 km.
