Tesla Takes Wraps Off its All-New Roadster

The Roadster EV will go on sale internationally in 2020.

According to Tesla, the new convertible can hit 96kph in 1.9 seconds, which is the fastest for a series production car. It also goes on to hit 160kph in 4.9 seconds and can cover a quarter mile in 8.9 seconds, which is another record for a production Car.

The car claims a top speed of over 402kph and can cover 1,000km on a single charge. It is powered by a 200kW battery pack, and has three motors that send power to all-four-wheels.

Elon Musk went on to say that this Roadster is the final nail in the coffin for internal combustion-engined cars. The car will go on sale abroad in 2020.
