Royal Enfield 650 Twins

Royal Enfield equiped the BS6 compliant Twins with a bunch of new accessories. These include handle-bar brace pad, fork gaiters, engine guards, short fly screen, pannier mounting kit, and soft panniers. The Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 gets an option of a single-seat while Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 comes with a touring seat to provide comfort during long journeys. Under the frame, both Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 come powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin, air, and oil-coiled petrol engine that churns out 47 bhp power and 52 Nm of peak torque. The engines come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and is capable of speeds of over 160 kmph. 

KTM 250 Duke

The 250 Duke is KTM’s quarter-litre street motorcycle priced at Rs 2.01 lakhs (ex-showroom). The motorcycle has been updated to comply with new BS6 Emission Norms, besides receiving other changes. It is powered by a 248.76cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that belts out 29.6 bhp power and 24 Nm torque. The motor is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. KTM has now introduced a slipper clutch for preventing the locking of the rear-wheel while aggressive downshifting. The motorcycle boasts of an aggressive look. Other highlighted updates include the introduction of Supermoto mode for its dual-channel ABS setup. It deactivates ABS only for the rear wheel to allow the rider to lock it for some sliding action. A pair of new eye-catchy color options have also been introduced namely Silver Metallic and Dark Galvano. 

KTM 390 Adventure

The KTM 390 Adventure is based on the naked sibling - the Duke 390. One of the most awaited bikes of 2020, it is priced at Rs 2.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). Though it is based on the street-fighter version, the motorcycle borrows traits from the KTM 790 Adventure model in terms of design. It sports a stronger and longer suspension, dual-purpose tyres and a larger fuel tank. KTM 390 Adventure is powered by the same 373.2cc single-cylinder motor which the Duke 390 is powered with. The motor produces 42.3 bhp of power output with 37 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Although ABS is offered as a standard, it also gets a switchable traction control system which is first in the segment.

Kawasaki Ninja 400

Kawasaki Ninja 400 is sold alongside the Ninja 300 in the Indian market. It is priced at Rs 4.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). The motorcycle looks aggressive and attractive as it takes design inspiration from Ninja ZX-10R. It is powered by a 399cc parallel-twin motor that produces 47.5 bhp power and 38 Nm torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and is assisted by a slipper clutch as a standard fitment. The Ninja 400 is equipped with LED units for the headlamp and tail lights. It is built around a new chassis which is lighter and stiffer than the Ninja 300, which is expected to offer great handling. It is already available in the Lime Green paint scheme as standard. However there are other paint schemes also available for limited units namely Metallic Spark Black/Lime Green and Lime Green/Ebony (KRT Edition).

Highest-selling Harley motorcycle in the country. Harley Davidson Street 750 is priced at Rs 5.34 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Street 750 is powered by a liquid-cooled V-twin engine which the company calls the ‘Revolution X’. The engine produces 47 bhp power and 59 Nm torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a belt drive. It gets traditional cruiser design cues like a sweptback handlebar, mid-mounted instrumentation, and a round headlamp with bikini fairing. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a twin shock unit towards the rear. Disc brakes are present at both ends supported by dual-channel ABS as standard. It also gets the company’s proprietary smart security system and a proximity key-fob. 

Kawasaki Ninja 300

The Ninja 300 is Kawasaki’s smallest faired offering in the iconic Ninja series. Replacing Ninja 250R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 is priced at Rs 2.98 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 296cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC parallel-twin engine that churns out 38.4 bhp power and 27 Nm torque. The engine is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox and is assisted by a slipper clutch. The Ninja 300 sports an aggressive styling that takes cues from the higher-displacement Ninja models. The front cowl gets a twin headlamp setup, inspired by the ZX-10R. It also gets an analog-digital meter, fuel gauge, and pass-light switch which was missing in the Ninja 250R. It is available in four color schemes, Candy Plasma Blue, Lime Green/Ebony, Moon Dust Grey, and Lime Green. 

Honda CB300R

The Honda CB300R is based on the CBR300R but in terms of styling, it is based on the current CB1000R. Honda CB300R is priced at Rs 2.42 lakhs (ex-showroom). It sources power from a 286cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that generates a power output of 30bhp and 27.5Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The Honda CB300R features all-LED lights and CBS with ABS. In terms of brakes, it gets a radially-mounted 4-piston caliper in the front and a floating caliper at the back. It also has an anti-locking braking system. The suspension is quite conventional with inverted forks in the front and has only preload adjustment for the rear.

The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. With both rear and front disk brakes, Harley-Davidson Street Rod also has an anti-locking braking system. The motorcycle gets styling inspiration from cafe racers and Harley's dirt trackers. It also features a new headlamp cowl, drag-style handlebar with bar-end mirrors, a new tail section, LED tail lamps, and LED side indicators.

TVS Apache RR 310

The 2020 TVS Apache RR 310 sports a host of electronic and mechanical changes that set it apart from the previous model. Priced at Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom), this sports motorcycle is available in one variant in India. TVS Apache RR 310 is powered by a 312.2cc single-cylinder engine that produces 33 bhp power and 27.3 Nm torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. With both rear and front disk brakes, TVS Apache RR310 also has an anti-locking braking system. The overall design of the motorcycle remains unchanged. However, it gets new GTT (glide through technology) for smooth low-speed riding in traffic. Another major update is the five-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster that features TVS’ SmartXonnect technology. This allows the rider to connect their smartphone with the display for receiving calls and message notifications while accessing navigation.

The KTM RC 390 BS6 gets a cosmetic update as part of the 2020 revamp. KTM RC 390 is priced at Rs 2.48 lakhs (ex-showroom). It retains the aggressive design and bodywork of its predecessor. The motorcycle is powered by a  373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 43 bhp power and 37 Nm torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The fully-faired motorcycle now gets black wheels and a new white and black color scheme with a contrasting orange trellis frame. While the streetfighter 390 Duke is updated with a bi-directional quick shifter, the new RC 390 misses out on that feature.
