Toyota has announced a new limited edition of the Toyota 86 spec called ‘British Green Limited’. The car will only be available for sale in Japan. Toyota will be accepting orders till May 31 while deliveries are slated to begin by the end of July, 2019.
It’s not only the exterior of the car that gets design changes including the British Green Limited colorway, but also the High Performance Package, which adds Brembo brakes, SACHS dampers, exclusive 17-inch bronze alloys and a not very subtle rear spoiler. Inside, there are two-tone leather seats with Alcantara support pads, orange contrast stitching on the steering wheel, shifter, handbrake and dashboard, plus no display for the infotainment system for a more driver-focused environment.
However, the limited edition car will remain mechanically unchanged. It will continue to be powered by the same 2.0-litre petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The setup produces 208 PS of peak power and 211 Nm of torque. While performance figures will be similar to the regular 86, this edition might be dynamically better to drive thanks to the High Performance Package.
The Toyota British Green Limited will set you back ¥3,251,880 (approx. Rs. 20,76,725) for the manual variant while automatic comes at a slightly higher price of ¥3,318,840 (approx. Rs. 21,19,487).
