The refreshed car is available in three petrol and two diesel variants.

Toyota officially launched the revamped Corolla Altis at a price of ₹15.87 lakh, with prices going up to ₹19.91 lakh for the top-spec car. The new model looks sleeker thanks to the design changes to the front and the rear. Toyota has implemented its new design language, choosing to sharpen the look of the Altis further. The interiors follow suit with new trim inserts, revised air-vent design and new air-con controls.

Along with the style, the variants have changed too. The entry-level J trim has been discontinued and the previous mid-level G trim will be the entry point. The petrol car is available in three trims – G, GL and VL – with the top trim available only as an automatic. The diesel comes in only two trims – G and GL – with no top variant on offer.

Toyota has also updated the equipment on offer across the trim levels. Powering the facelifted car is the same 140hp, 1.8-litre petrol and 88hp, 1.4-litre diesel engines as the pre-facelifted model. Both engines are paired to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard with the petrol being offered with a CVT gearbox option.

The Corolla is one of Toyota’s best sellers and with the facelift the company aims to cement its position in the luxury sedan category and spruce up declining sales.
