Toyota Glanza launched; presenting list of official accessories

Japanese car maker Toyota has launched the badge-engineered version of Baleno -- the Glanza -- in India. Glanza is priced slightly higher than the Baleno, but comes with the same looks and features as the Maruti model. The only aesthetic difference between the two cars is the front grille on them. The prices for Glanza start at Rs. 7.2 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. Just like any other maker and any other model, Toyota also is offering a slew of accessories for the customers of Glanza. Let’s take a look at these offerings by the Japanese car maker.

The pattern of similarity between the two cars is also visible in the accessories department. However, let's take a look at the exterior of the Glanza first. Here, the Toyota car comes with the option of a front and rear bumper spoiler in black color, and the same kind of claddings are also available for the side skirt as well as bumper corners. These black coloured claddings lend a good contrast to the car and make it look a lot more rugged than it is. The bumper corner protection is also offered in chrome shade. Talking of the chrome garnish, rear door chrome garnish is also available, and chrome inserts for door visors are also being offered by the company. Apart from these, the Glanza also comes with the option of a body cover and mudguard.

Moving on to the interiors, the Glanza comes with a plethora of options of seat styling and upholstery. Apart from the huge number of options for the seats, the Japanese maker is also offering styling kits  for the cabin of the Glanza that will take up the appeal of the car with the option of either wooden or blue finish. This kits will add a new flair to the cabin of the car with blue or wooden colored inserts in the entire cabin of Glanza. The company is also offering custom cushions, floor mats with red stitching, and trunk mats. Not just the interiors, but styling kits are available for the exterior of the car as well. However, the selection of the accessories on the Toyota Glanza is still small when compared to the range of accessories that Maruti offers for Baleno.

Talking of the Glanza premium hatchback, it will be sold with the option of both automatic as well as manual gearboxes in the Indian market. The company has launched the car with the K12B 1.2L petrol engine that is rated to produce 82 Bhp and 112 Nm and the smart hybrid 1.2L petrol engine rated for 89 Bhp and 113 Nm. The transmission duties will be handled by a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox, although the automatic variant will only be offered on the non-hybrid models. There is no diesel engine on offer on Glanza.
