Toyota India has launched the Hilux pick-up at a starting price of Rs 33.99 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. Being unveiled on January 20, it is offered with a 4x4 drive system as standard across the entire variant line-up. Toyota Hilux bookings had started in January itself and the response from the Indian buyers within a fortnight was so phenomenal that the company had to temporarily halt the pre-bookings in February. The Hilux has already surpassed the 20 million sales milestone globally as it is sold in more than 180 countries.

Underpinning the Innovative Multi-purpose Vehicle (IMV) platform, Toyota Hilux comes equipped with a myriad of features in the form of Sweptback Auto LED headlamps, Leather seats, Dual zone fully automatic temperature control, Smart entry, Drive modes options (Power & Eco), Tire angle monitor and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. The safety features include 7 SRS Airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TC) Electronic System, Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Automatic Hill Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Assist Control (DAC) and Automatic Limited Slip Differential (ALSD). It will be available in five color schemes namely Emotional Red, White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Super White & Grey Metallic.
