Toyota Kirloskar Motor unveiled the Innova Crysta facelift in the Indonesian market in October 2020. The company is likely to launch the updated version of the MPV in the Indian market this month. According to a source, the dealers have already started accepting bookings for the MPV. As for the deliveries, it could begin from the second half of November 2020. If rumors are to be believed, then the on-road price of the Innova Crysta facelift will likely be increased by Rs 60,000 - Rs 1 lakh.
In terms of design, the upcoming MPV gets a new front fascia that features a larger grille with thick chrome outlines and five horizontal slats. The headlamps get chrome extensions that further merge into the grille. The new front bumper houses a faux silver skid plate. Furthermore, the redesigned halogen fog lamps are vertically housed in a black triangular surround. Other design highlights include 16-inch alloy wheels finished in silver.
The interiors of the upcoming Innova Crysta facelift remain unchanged. The cabin boasts of an all-black theme. The MPV will come in a six-seat layout with the middle row providing captain seats. Furthermore, it will come packed with a plethora of features. These will include a new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an in-built air purifier, keyless entry and go, ambient lighting, leatherette seat covers, and a new instrument cluster.
Under the bonnet, the India-spec Innova Crysta facelift will be powered by a 2.4-litre diesel engine that will develop 148 bhp power at 3400 rpm while being mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine will generate 343 Nm of highest torque between 1400-2800 rpm. With 6-speed automatic gearbox, the engine will produce 360 Nm of torque at 1400-2600 rpm. Furthermore, the MPV is also likely to get a 2.7-litre petrol engine that will churn out a maximum power of 164 bhp at 5200 rpm and a peak torque of 245 Nm at 4000 rpm.
