The company’s all-new Century luxury sedan has seen a complete overhaul over the previous iteration.

The company has release studio images ahead of the car’s debut at the Tokyo motor show. While the car maintains its classic-looking exterior, everything else has been reworked, including its overall dimensions. The company’s flagship luxury sedan is now longer by 64mm, making it a lengthy 5.3 metres. The car is now powered by a 5.0-litre V8 mated to a hybrid system from the Lexus LC 500 and F-Series.

The roof is raised so there’s more headroom and the Century has power leg rest and power rear seats with a built-in massage function. The car also features a touchscreen unit in the armrest that control seat adjustment, air-conditioning and the car’s 20-speaker sound system. The Century’s body is stiffer, it features new engine mounts and a reworked suspension. Toyota has added an active noise cancellation system and specially developed tyres for its new Century. As far as safety is concerned, you get blind spot monitoring, collision avoidance and rear cross-traffic alerts.

The car will be on display at the Tokyo motor show, which starts October 25, 2017.
