Toyota Unveils Hilux GR Sport II

Toyota has unveiled the Toyota Hilux GR sport variant in Europe. This new version comes with various cosmetics and mechanical changes.

In India, pick-up trucks are very popular these days, and the Toyota Hilux is one of the most popular trucks in the country. In Europe, Toyota has showcased a new GR Sport variant of the Hilux. This new version comes with various cosmetics and mechanical changes. Toyota has not confirmed whether this new Hilux GR Sport pick-up truck will be launched in India. The new Toyota Hilux retains the same engine available in the standard Hilux. This new Hilux is a steadfast version of pickup trucks. Pick-up trucks are very popular in the United States, and now In the Indian market, customers are also preferring pick-up trucks as they provide more space.

The exterior of the Toyota Hilux GR Sport comes with a new grille, which is much better than the one available in the standard model. With a new fog lamp housing, the bumper of the new Toyota Hilux has been redesigned. The new pick-up truck comes with newly designed skid plates.

On the side, the Toyota Hilux GR Sport gets redesigned with 17-inch alloy wheels in a black finish. On the tailgate and front grille, the pick-up truck has a GR badge. The interior has sporty red accents and a complete black theme. The seatbelts have a red finish. The GR Sport badge has been added by Toyota to the dashboard, door trim, multi-information display, and instrument cluster. The new Toyota Hilux pick-up truck gets a new touchscreen infotainment system accompanied by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Toyota Hilux GR Sport has also received mechanical changes. For better performance, the suspension setup has been revised. At the rear, the brake size in the Toyota Hilux has been expanded from 16 inches to 17 inches and the 15-inch disc units have replaced the drum brakes. With a tread increase of 140 mm in front and 155 mm in back, the ground increase has increased by 20 mm. The Toyota Hilux GR Sport retains the engine, and it is still powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine that generates 201 bhp of maximum power and 500 Nm of peak torque. The engine is combined with a six-speed torque converter and automatic transmission.
