If motorcycles from the 1940's version of a bike is your idea of a bike, Triumph India has a two-wheeler just for you. The new Bonneville Bobber has been recently released in India and the bike sits in between the bigger Bonneville T120 and the Thruxton R. Triumph is known to make retro motorcycles excessively well, so it is no surprise that the new Bobber is so reminiscent of the past.
The Bonneville Bobber borrows its 1,200cc motor from the Bonneville T120. The engine is mated to a similar six-speed gearbox. The bike's gorgeous design is inspired by the grand aesthetic of the 1940's and 1960's. Other features include wide flat bars, a battery box with a stainless-steel strap cover, bar-end mirrors, traditional rubber gaiters on the front suspension and even a rear wheel hub that resembles an old-school brake drum. The Bobber rides on a 19-inch front wheel and a 16-inch rear with unique Avon Cobra tyres, specially designed for the bike. Do not let the timeless look of the machine fool you, this bike’s as advanced as it needs to be.
Though the bike is factory made, you can pimp it up according to your tastes. New accessories include Vance & Hines silencers, 'ape hanger' high bars, bar end mirrors and LED indicators. There is a total of 150 accessories available.
With this bike, the Bonneville range in India extends to a total of five models – the Street Twin, Bonneville T100, Bonneville T120, Thruxton R along with the Bobber. The new Triumph Bonneville Bobber has been launched in India at a price of ₹9.09 lakh
