Triumph has revealed the first images of the TE-1 electric motorcycle prototype. This electric product is the result of collaboration between Triumph Motorcycles, Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE), Integral Powertrain and WMG. The live testing programme of the TE-1 electric motorcycle will be led by Triumph. The all-new next-generation lightweight battery and e-powertrain system of the bike has been developed by Williams Advanced Engineering. Triumph TE-1 is expected to complete the live testing phase by August 2022.

The overall objective of the TE-1 project has been focused on developing electric motorcycle capability in order to provide an input into Triumph’s future electric motorcycle offerings. Speaking of the Triumph TE-1 battery pack, it has peak power of 228 bhp and continuous power of 120 bhp with a capacity of 15kWh. This enables the motorbike to deliver 174 bhp of peak power and 107 bhp of continuous power. The bike can be fast charged to 80 percent from standstill in merely 20 minutes using a 360-volt system. Once the testing phase is over, the TE-1 electric prototype will be updated with its final body panels for active track demonstration. At this time, final specifications and testing outcomes will be revealed including final battery and range performance.
