Triumph Tiger 850 Sport is likely to launch by next year

Triumph Motorcycles has finally unveiled the all-new Tiger 850 Sport adventure tourer. The company had released a teaser video of the bike a few days back. The all-new Tiger 850 Sport is the latest addition to the brand’s product lineup in the adventure tourer range. It will be positioned below the recently introduced Tiger 900. The bike is likely to go on sale in the International markets first. It will make its way to India in and around February 2021.



In terms of dimensions, the bike measures 2248 mm in length and 830 mm in width. Furthermore, it will come with a wheelbase of 1556 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 20 litres. Talking about the design, the 2021 Triumph Tiger 850 gets an all-LED headlight with Triumph’s signature shaped DRL, LED tail-light, and LED indicators. The Tiger 850 Sport comes equipped with a plethora of features. These include a high contrast 5-inch full TFT display and a 12V power socket for mobile charging. It also features two riding modes - Road and Rain. Both the riding modes can easily adjust the ride-by-wire throttle response and traction control settings for enhanced control in all riding conditions. Furthermore, the traction control is switchable and can be deactivated independently via the instrument. 




Mechanically, the new Tiger 850 Sport will be powered by an 888cc, liquid-cooled, 12 valves, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder motor that churns out 84 bhp power at 8500 rpm and 82 Nm torque at 6500 rpm. The motor will be linked to a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties will be taken care of by Marzocchi 45mm upside-down forks upfront and Marzocchi rear suspension unit, manual preload adjustment towards the rear. In terms of brakes, the bike will get twin 320mm floating discs in the form of Brembo Stylema 4 piston Monobloc calipers at the front and a single 255mm disc, Brembo single piston sliding caliper at the rear end coupled with ABS.

The new 850 Sport is offered in two exciting paint options- Graphite & Diablo Red and Graphite & Caspian Blue. Apart from these, Triumph is also offering a range of 60+ genuine Triumph accessories with the new 850 Sport.
