TVS Launches Apache RTR 160 and RTR 160 4V Black Edition in India; Prices Start at INR 1.20 Lakh

The Apache RTR 160 and RTR 160 4V motorcycles have three riding modes: Urban, Sport, and Rain.

TVS Motor Company, one of India’s leading two- and three-wheeler manufacturers, has launched the new blacked-out versions of the Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 160 4V models in India. The new RTR 160 4V Black Edition is priced at INR 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), whereas the RTR 160 Black Edition is available at a price of INR 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both motorcycles have three riding modes: Urban, Sport, and Rain.

The new motorcycles get an all-black paint scheme while retaining the same features and aesthetics. The Black Edition motorcycles feature a blacked-out TVS Apache Stallion logo on the tank. The Apache 160 series also has blacked-out exhaust. Inspired by the base trim, the RTR 160 4V Black Edition lacks features like Bluetooth connectivity and a rear disc. But the motorcycle sports other significant features such as a taillight, LED headlamp, a digital instrument console, SmartXonnect with Voice Assist, and Glide Through Technology (GTT).

Powering the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Black Edition is a 159.7-cc, single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The unit churns out 17.31 bhp of maximum power and 14.73 Nm of peak torque. The kerb weight of the motorcycle is 144 kg, and it has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres.

The Apache RTR 160 2V, on the other hand, draws power from the same 159.7-cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, which is also equipped in the outgoing models. However, the engine’s power and torque output vary based on the selected riding style. The urban and rain modes provide maximum power of 13.14 bhp at 8,000 rpm, while 15.82 horsepower is available in the sport mode.
