The two-wheeler giant Ultraviolette Automotive has rolled out the F99 high-speed electric superbike in the Indian market. In the brand’s lineup, the F99 bike is positioned above the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2. The pre-production prototype was first showcased at the EICMA Show 2023 in Milan. It is now available in a new avatar and is packed with a bigger motor, all set to challenge speed records.

The Ultraviolette F99 e-bike has been locally manufactured at the company’s R&D headquarters in Bengaluru. It is a fully-faired electric bike featuring a modern design. Ultraviolette says that the F99 electric superbike design is based on supersonic jets. The motorcycle comes equipped with sharp body panels with cuts and creases. It houses cooling ducts and an active aero that are designed to transfer air toward the motor.

The brand is offering the F99 electric bike in striking white and red bodywork. It draws power from a 90-kW motor that enables the bike to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just three seconds. The new Ultraviolette superbike top speed is 265 kmph with a kerb weight of 178 kg. What sets the F99 superbike apart from the standard version is its top-shelf components, including Brembo brakes with a dual-disc setup up front and Ohlins suspension. It glides on lightweight alloy wheels that are shod by slick tires.

With these performance updates in the electric Ultraviolette F99, the two-wheeler giant is aiming to acquire not one but two major records under its name in the upcoming three months. These include the fastest quarter-mile time for an Indian bike and the highest top speed bagged by an Indian two-wheeler. According to the company, the prototype is scheduled to be launched in India in 2025. The superbike is expected to be priced around INR 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
