V-12 Lamborgini Squadra Corse Hypercar testing on circuit teaser video leaked

Lamborgini had a great 2019 with sales zooming in thanks to its Premium Sports SUV Urus. Lamborghini knows how to stay in the news by releasing a teaser footage of Track-Only V-12 Lamborgini Squadra Corse Hypercar. Italian automaker loves to stir things up in the automobile world and the new track-only hypercar has done that perfectly. This is a mean machine powered by a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine churning out 830 bhp of maximum power. Lamborgini Squadra Corse Hypercar will generate more power than the Sián FKP 37 which is the most powerful Lamborgini till now. The brief teaser shows to the world the exhaust noise as well as our first peek at the premium Lamborghini design.

The first teaser image of the hypercar was released way back in October 2019. With the teaser video at our disposal, we do get a view of the front bumper, rear end, and hood. The Hypercar is based on the Aventador so we expect the signature scissor doors without much plastic trim or padding. So what more I have gleaned from the teaser? Well, there is a racing hood with two air intakes. This supercar is basically a circuit-only vehicle so you can expect the roof-mounted air scoop, carbon-fibre monocoque with self-locking differential for better track handling. The Hypercar chassis will come with a braking system supplied by Brembo and a suspension by Öhlins.

Lamborghini plans to produce the vehicle in limited number and is expected to compete against Aston Martin’s Valkyrie and Ferrari FXX-K. Squadra Corse Hypercar would be quicker than the Aventador SVJ considering the increase in power and a lightweight body. A full unveiling and launch will take place before the end of the year if the impact of Coronavirus subsides.
