Piaggio, the maker of the premium Vespa scooters has launched the limited edition models to celebrate the completion of 75 glorious years in the Indian market. The special ‘Vespa 75th’ is offered in two versions - 125cc and 150cc. The former is priced at Rs 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom), while the latter is retailed at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The limited-edition scooter is available across all Vespa dealerships in the country. Interested buyers can book the model at a token amount of Rs 5000 either by directly visiting the authorized dealership or through the company’s online website.
Talking about the ‘Vespa 75th’, it looks elegant and sophisticated. It comes equipped with a plethora of features. These include a high-lumen LED headlight with centre integrated DRL. The major highlight is the ‘Glossy Metallic Giallo’ colour scheme accompanied by ‘dark smoke grey’ seats. Moving on, the scooters feature the number 75 decals on the side panels, front fender, and glovebox. The retractable chrome rack is designed in a way that it looks like the spare wheel carrier from old Vespa models. While the wheels and the windscreen get the machined finish. Besides these, the limited edition scooters come with a ‘welcome kit’ that comprises a bag with collectible postcards and a vintage Vespa sign.

Performance-wise, the 75th edition scooter comes with 125cc and 150cc engine options. The 125cc version is likely to churn out 9.91 bhp power at 7,500rpm and 9.6 Nm peak torque at 5,500rpm. While the 150cc version is expected to generate a top power of 10.2 bhp at 7,600rpm and a peak torque of 10.6Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. Braking duties are taken care of by a 200mm disc up front and a 140mm drum at the rear. The higher-capacity version comes with ABS. While the 125cc model gets a CBS.
