Volkswagen to unveil 4 SUV and update 2 cars at Auto Expo 2020.

There was a silence on behalf of Volkswagen India until very recently. At the upcoming Auto Expo 2020, the German automaker will be making all the right noises. Prior to the automobile extravaganza, the company will be unveiling their brand new logo and discussing their plans for India due to a realignment in strategy. As part of their core focus, the company would be unveiling 4 SUV's at the Expo and updating 2 of its cars with BS6 complaint engines. To know more here is a complete list of cars & SUVs that would on show during the week long exhibition. 
 

1. Volkswagen T-Roc 

The most anticipated SUV from the Volkswagen stable will be the T-Roc. Expected to launch sometime this year, Volkswagen T-Roc features the MQB platform and will be introduced as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). In comparison to the Tiguan that happens to be the only SUV in the company’s current portfolio, T-Roc will not only offer updated looks but the latest technology. Not much is known about Volkswagen T-Roc as for now but what we can tell you is that this SUV might feature a 1.5 litre petrol engine under skin. Transmission duties could be provided by a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission).

2. Volkswagen A0 

 Absent in the compact SUV space, Volkswagen will be introducing A0 as its answer to Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks, Tata Harrier among others. The Volkswagen A0 is said to be based on VW's MQB A0 IN platform, it will most likely feature only a diesel engine while CNG powered variant could be on the cards. When showcased at Auto Expo 2020, Volkswagen A0 is expected to be production ready.

 
3. Volkswagen ID.CROZZ Concept 

 When at Auto Expo how can there be no concepts? Volkswagen during next week’s exhibition would be putting their best foot forward with the ID.CROZZ Concept. Volkswagen ID.CROZZ Concept will be a full blown electric coupe that features a 225 kW motor under the skin. Said to be launched globally this year, the Concept offers a range of 500 kms in a single charge with a top speed of 180 Kmph. There is still no clarity whether the brand would be bringing it to India, for that one will have to wait and watch. 

 
4. Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace 

Volkswagen would be adding a long wheelbase version to its current 5-seater SUV - Tiguan. Called as Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace, the SUV is expected to be launched this year. Going up against the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, Honda CR-V and Mahindra Alturas, Tiguan Allspace is likely to feature a 2.0 litre petrol engine that would matted to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Apart from these vehicles, VW is expected to also unveil BS6 complaint Polo hatchback and Vento sedan in India.
