The German car giant, Volkswagen will be discontinuing the legendary Beetle and to commemorate that the company will offer the Beetle Final Edition. The company showcased the Beetle Final Edition at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Beetle Final Edition will be available with two unique colours – Safari Uni and Stonewashed Blue. These two colours have been taken from the 2003 Beetle Última Edición. Apart from these special colours, the car is also available in Pure White, Deep Black Pearl, and Platinum Grey. There are some styling tweaks on the car along with body-colour mirrors, 17-inch wheels and a sunroof for the coupe.
The Beetle Final Edition SE’s cabin features gloss black trim on the dashboard, cloth and leather wrapped seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, stainless steel pedal, ambient lights, automatic climate control and a 6.3-inch Composition Media infotainment system. Whereas, the Beetle Final Edition SEL additionally gets Bi-Xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED taillights. It also has 18-inch wheels, diamond-stitched leather seats, and a Discover Media infotainment system with GPS.
The Beetle Final Edition models will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 174 BHP and 249 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Beetle Final Edition SE and SEL will be available in both coupe and convertible and will be exclusively sold in the USA.
