Volkswagen Tiguan All-space was unveiled on 5th February 2020 at Auto Expo 2020 and received overwhelming response from both the print and online media. Pre-Bookings have already begun for the SUV from the first day of the Auto Expo itself. Tiguan Allspace will be competing with the likes of Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and expected to make inroads into the highly competitive full-sized SUV market. Pricing is still not out in open but we can expect it to start around 35 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom). The 7-seater SUV might hit the showrooms by April 2020.
Compared to the standard 5-seater Tiguan, the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace is 215mm longer, 2mm taller while having a 110mm long wheelbase. Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace is powered by a BS 6 compliant 190bhp, 2.0L turbocharged petrol powerplant which will be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. There will be no diesel option in the SUV. Due to the bigger dimensions, there is an addition of the third row of seats while offering a luggage area of 230-litre. We can also expand the boot space from 760 litres to 1920 litres by folding the third row of seats and the second rows of seats, respectively. The interior layout of the Tiguan AllSpace is the same as the regular Tiguan.
Despite being longer and taller than standard Tiguan, the AllSpace SUV has the same width. The seven-seater Tiguan is equipped with new LED projector headlamps with DRLs, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof. Vienna leather seats, Reverse Parking Camera, 3 Zone Auto AC, 7 airbags with knee airbag, Anti-lock braking System (ABS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) will give the consumers a superb experience while driving Volkswagen Tiguan All-space. The 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system will help in dealing with the toughest and harshest roads by transferring precise traction to all 4 wheels ensuring optimum efficiency.
