Volvo Polestar 2 Pictures Released

The Polestar 2 has been revealed by the Swedish carmaker

Volvo has released pictures of the Polestar 2 which is set to be unveiled soon. The pictures reveal a high-riding sedan that reminds a lot of Volvo’s Concept 40.2, from three years ago. The Polestar 2 will compete with Tesla’s smallest car, the Model 3 and pictures show that the car is similarly sized to the Model 3, although the dimensions haven’t been released yet.

On the exterior front, the car has a higher ground clearance, thanks to a “Cross Country” package that also features plastic cladding on the wheel arches and the lower part of the bumpers. There is the signature “Thor hammer” headlights on offer while the taillights get the “lobster claw” look. At the rear, the taillights are united by an LED light strip that spans the entire width of the car.

What also makes the Polestar 2 stand out is that it will be the world’s first production car to feature Google’s all-new Android HMI infotainment system. Thus, it will offer popular services like Google Assistant, Maps and the official Play Store as standard.

The Volvo Polestar is the company’s first all-electric car and is expected to be powered by two electric motors that will develop a combined output of 400 PS and have a range of up to 500 km. The Polestar 2 will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month
