The car will be sold only in one fully loaded Inscription trim.

The company will launch its all-new XC60 on December 12, 2017. The car will be sold in one fully loaded ‘Inscription’ trim which, in typical Volvo fashion, comes loaded to the teeth with tech and safety.

The XC60 comes with air suspension, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, Nappa leather upholstery, heads-up display and large 19-inch alloy wheels. The car is fitted with radar-based safety systems as well.

The XC60 is powered by a 235hp, 2.0-litre D5 diesel engine, shared with the larger XC90 SUV. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and comes with all-wheel drive as standard. Volvo may consider adding a 320hp T6 petrol and a 407hp T8 Twin-Engine petrol-hybrid version in the future.

Volvo will assemble the XC60 at its Bengaluru plant and you can expect prices to be around Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom).
