The new top-spec Polo comes with larger alloy wheels and more equipment.

VW will add a new top-spec trim to its Polo line-up in India, called the Polo Highline Plus. This car is part of the non-GT Polo range powered by a 75hp, 1.2-litre petrol, and a 90hp, 1.5-litre diesel. The petrol car is priced from ₹7.24 lakh mark, while the Polo Highline Plus with a 1.5-litre diesel costs around ₹8.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Apart from the features of the Highline variant, this car additionally features 16-inch alloy wheels and an upgraded infotainment system with a reverse camera as standard. The car might not come fitted with LED headlamps though. The Next Polo will be built on the MQB platform and was unveiled by Volkswagen last month in Berlin, however it’s unlikely to make it here in the near future.
