We are back with our weekly dose of Auto shots for you! This week had quite a few launches. Starting from Kia Sonet being launched at Rs 6.71 lakhs (ex-showroom) to BS6 Hero Maestro Edge being launched at a starting price of Rs 60950 (ex-showroom) and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition at Rs 6.11 Lakhs. For all the high-adrenaline junkies, Ferrari launched the Roma supercar in the Indian market while Skoda launched the Rapid Automatic. Ayushmann Khurrana celebrated his 36rd birthday and we took a stroll through his car collection. Furthermore, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi turned 70 and we explore his official convoy of cars. Kia Sonet Launched at Rs 6.71 Lakhs in India

Kia Motors India launched the Sonet subcompact SUV at a starting price of Rs 6.71 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, pan India) in the country. It has been offered in two trims: Tech Line and GT Line. The former can be availed in a total of five variants namely HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+ while the latter gets a fully-loaded GTX+ variant. Kia Sonet bookings have crossed 25,000 mark and the deliveries will start from today itself. The SUV will be locally developed at Kia's Anantapur facility while being exported to over 70 countries internationally. Kia Sonet petrol price starts at Rs 6.71 Lakhs and goes as high as 11.99 Lakhs while Kia Sonet diesel price comes in a range of Rs 8.05-11.99 Lakhs.

 

BS6 Hero Maestro Edge 110 Launched at Rs 60950

Hero MotoCorp launched the BS6 Maestro Edge 110 at an introductory price of Rs 60,950 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. The scooter also gets an alloy wheel variant which is priced at Rs 62,450 (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). Last week, we told you that the company has listed the BS6 compliant Maestro Edge on its official website and the launch was imminent. For those asking, BS6 Hero Maestro Edge 110 undercuts both of its rivals - Honda Activa 6G and TVS Jupiter - by a decent margin in terms of pricing. BS6 Hero Maestro Edge 110 comes with a couple of cosmetic updates while being heavier by 2 kgs than the BS4 model with overall weight of 112 kgs. It draws power from a BS6 compliant engine which we have already seen with the Pleasure Plus.

 

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition Launched at Rs 6.11 Lakhs

Hyundai India launched the Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition at a starting price of Rs 6.11 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the country. It has been offered in three variants: Petrol MT, Petrol AMT and Diesel MT. Being based on the Magna trim, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Corporate Edition comes with a myriad of additional features. The purpose behind introducing the Corporate Edition ahead of the festive season is to attract as many buyers as possible. Hyundai Grand i10 rivals the likes of Tata Tiago and Maruti Swift in the Indian market. The Corporate Edition comes with segment-first ABAF (Anti Bacterial Anti Fungal) seats while getting the same engines as the standard model.

 

Skoda Rapid Automatic Launched at Rs 9.49 Lakhs in India

Skoda Auto India launched the automatic variant of Rapid TSI at an introductory price of Rs 9.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. The top-end Rapid Automatic variant is offered at Rs 13.29 lakhs (ex-showroom). The AT variant with a 6-speed torque converter gearbox is being introduced quite a few months after the BS6 Rapid TSI entered the market with a manual transmission. Its manual variant was introduced in the price range of Rs 7.49 lakhs - Rs 11.79 lakhs (ex-showroom). Considering this, the automatic variant is Rs 1.50-2.00 Lakh pricier than the manual variant. BS6 Skoda Rapid AT is offered in a total of five trims namely Rider Plus, Ambition AT, ONYX AT, Style AT, and Monte Carlo AT.

 

Ferrari Roma Priced at Rs 3.61 Crore in India

Ferrari officially introduced the Roma in the Indian market at price tag of Rs 3.61 Crores (ex-showroom). The sportscar was unveiled last year. Ferrari Roma gets the company’s new design language both inside and outside. Interested buyers can get the car booked at the Ferrari dealerships in either Mumbai or Delhi. The New Ferrari Roma gets 2+2 seating configuration while the sportscar features front-engine-rear-wheel drive layout. Under the bonnet, the Ferrari Roma has the same 3.9-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that powers other Ferrari models. In terms of power and torque figures, Roma delivers a power output of 620 bhp and 760 Nm torque. The engine is linked to a new 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox that originally made its debut on the SF90 Stradale.
