We are back with our weekly dose of Auto shots for you! This week had quite a few launches. Starting from the Vespa launching the Racing Sixties Special Edition, Suzuki launching the blue edition of Burgman Street to Volkswagen launching new automatic variants of BS6 Polo and Vento. Tata Motors too launched a new variant XM S in the Nexon lineup along with Harrier XT+. Where Rolls Royce launched the second-gen Ghost saloon in India, Mercedes, on the other hand, globally debuted its flagship model S Class. Lastly, Hyundai also revealed details about its upcoming 2021 Tucson SUV.

Piaggio India launched the Vespa Racing Sixties Special Editions in India. The Racing Sixties will be offered in 125cc and 150cc at prices of Rs 1.20 Lakhs and Rs 1.32 Lakhs (Both prices, Ex-Showroom), respectively. Cosmetically, the Racing Sixties duo gets matte black finish on several elements such as the rear-view mirrors, grab handle and footrests, the front and rear light applique and the muffler cover. Tata Nexon XM S Launched at Rs 8.36 Lakhs

Tata Motors launched a new variant in the Nexon lineup. The new Tata Nexon XM(S) variant is priced in the range of Rs 8.36-10.30 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). It will be offered with both manual and automatic gearbox options. Furthermore, it will get features that are already present in the XM variant. Under the hood, it will get a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The transmission options include six-speed manual transmission and an optional 6-speed automatic transmission. Read More


Suzuki Burgman Street Blue Edition Launched in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India launched the Burgman Street Blue Edition at an introductory price of Rs 79,700 (Ex-Showroom). The BS6 compliant scooter is powered by an all-aluminium 124cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine that churns out 8.6 bhp power and 10 Nm torque. The scooter is offered in four color choices: Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matte Black No. 2, and Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red. Read More

 

New-Gen Rolls Royce Ghost Revealed; To Cost Rs 6.95 Crores in India

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars launched the second-generation Ghost saloon in the country. It is priced at Rs 6.95 crores (ex-showroom). The delivery of the car in India is likely to begin by early 2021. The 2020 Rolls Royce Ghost is based on the famous Rolls-Royce proprietary aluminium spaceframe architecture that underpins other models like Phantom and the Cullinan. Mechanically, the sedan is powered by a 6.75-litre, twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine. 

 

BS6 Volkswagen Polo GT TSI and Vento Highline automatic launched in India

Volkswagen India launched new automatic variants of the BS6 Polo and Vento at a starting price of Rs 9.67 lakhs and Rs 12.99 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom), respectively. At heart, both Polo GT TSI and Vento Highline Plus get a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine that churns out 109 bhp power and 175 Nm torque while being mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Read More

The XT+ variant of Harrier is based on the OMEGARC architecture which is derived from Land Rover’s legendary D8 platform. 2021 Hyundai Tucson Revealed Ahead of 15th September Debut

Hyundai Motor Company revealed the upcoming 2021 Tucson SUV. The world premiere is scheduled for September 15, 2020. Dimensionally, the new Tucson is bigger and wider than the older models with a long hood and shorter overhangs giving a coupe-like appearance. The cabin of the car is quite spacious. The interior design theme is termed as "Interspace" by Hyundai as it comes with a fully-digital instrument cluster.
