This week, several stories made it to the national headlines in India which included multiple new bike launches. Right from the BS6 Yamaha FZ25 and FZS 25 to Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6, a total of three new bikes were launched in India. The car segment witnessed the launch of Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition. Honda initiated bookings for the 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade & Fireblade SP while the 2020 Hyundai Creta surpassed 55,000 bookings. Kia released the exterior and interior sketches of the Sonet while two of the rockstars - Sanjay Dutt & Hardik Pandya - celebrated their birthdays. BS6 Yamaha FZ 25 and FZS 25 Launched in India

Yamaha India launched the BS6 compliant version of FZ 25 and FZS 25 at starting prices of Rs 1.52 Lakhs and Rs 1.57 Lakhs (Both are Ex. Showroom, Delhi), respectively, in the country. Both the models were unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo in February earlier this year. Yamaha FZ25 BS6 deliveries started immediately across the company dealerships while the deliveries of Yamaha FZS 25 BS6 will start later. The duo rivals the likes of Suzuki Gixxer 250, Bajaj Dominar 250 and KTM 250 Duke in the Indian market. Both Yamaha FZ 25 and Yamaha FZS 25 are powered by a BS6 compliant 249cc air cooled, SOHC, 4 Stroke, single-cylinder engine which develops top power of 20bhp at 8000rpm and maximum torque of 20.1Nm at 6000rpm. Read More

BS6 Mahindra Mojo 300 launched at Rs. 1.99 Lakhs

BS6 Mahindra Mojo 300 was launched this week in India at an introductory price of Rs. 1,99,900 (ex-showroom), India. Recently, Mahindra started accepting pre-bookings for BS6 Mojo 300 at a token amount of Rs 5000. New Mojo 300 will be retailed in four new colour options: Garnet Black, Ruby Red, Red Agate and Pearl Black. The 300cc motorcycle will rival the likes of KTM Duke 390 and Bajaj Dominar 400 in the Indian two-wheeler market. It replaces the outdated BS4 XT300 and UT300 variants. The newly launched bike does not get any cosmetic updates and is quite similar to the outgoing BS4 model. The Mojo 300 BS6 is roughly Rs 11,000 more expensive than its predecessor. Read More

Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition Launched in India at Rs 20.14 Lakhs

Jeep Compass continued to drive forward in the Indian automobile market with the launch of a Limited-Edition called Night Eagle. The introduction of Jeep Compass Night Eagle celebrated the third anniversary of this compact SUV in India. Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition petrol variant price starts at Rs 20.14 lakhs while the diesel manual variant sets you back by Rs 20.75 lakhs. The top-of-the-line diesel model offering automatic transmission is priced at Rs 23.31 lakhs. All prices mentioned here are (ex-showroom), India. The Night Eagle is the first global Limited-Edition model of the Jeep Compass. The SUV is available in four colours namely - Vocal White, Exotica Red, Brilliant Black and Magnesio Grey. Read More

The world premiere of the upcoming Kia Sonet is just a week away. In the meanwhile, the company released the sketches of the interior and exterior of this compact SUV. According to the images, the production-ready Kia Sonet gets a very dynamic design along with many first-in-segment features. It boasts of a segment-largest 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Further, the infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay, Andriod Auto, UVO Connect which comes with eSIM connectivity features. Other features include a wireless charger, engine start/stop button, rear AC vents among many others. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India recently commenced the bookings for the 2020 Fireblade CBR1000RR-R and CBR1000RR-R SP. The company unveiled both these motorcycles at the EICMA Motorcycle Show last year. Now it is all set to get these bikes in India via the CBU route. The deliveries of both bikes will begin towards the end of August 2020. Both the Honda CBR1000RR-R and CBR1000RR-R SP are going to be offered in two color options namely an HRC inspired Grand Prix Red and Matte Pearl Black. The company has yet not revealed the price. However, we can expect the price to start from Rs 20 lakhs. The motorcycles draw power from a 999.9 cc inline, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Hyundai Creta has amassed over 55000 bookings in the Indian market since its launch on March 16, 2020. Being the best-seller SUV in the country for two consecutive months in May and June, it is the most enquired and searched car on Hyundai ‘Click to Buy’ online platform with 30 percent enquiries and 76 percent bookings. Hyundai Creta diesel variants constituted 60 percent of the overall bookings. The SUV is at loggerheads with Nissan Kicks, MG Hector, Kia Seltos and Tata Harrier in the Indian market.
