We are back with our weekly dose of Autoshots for you! This week, there were a plethora of new product launches in the Indian market. However, the biggest of them all was the world premiere of the highly-anticipated Kia Sonet. In addition, Maruti S-Cross BS6 petrol and KTM 250 Duke BS6 were launched in the country. Toyota rolled out the limited edition Fortuner TRD while Ferrari F8 Tributo debuted in India at a staggering price of Rs 4.02 Crores. The 2020 Mahindra Thar BS6 launch in India was confirmed for August 15, 2020 while ace Portugal Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo (#CR7) shocked the world by becoming the owner of the world's most expensive car - the Bugatti Centodieci - for Rs 75 Crores! Kia Sonet Makes World Premiere in India

Kia Sonet finally made its world premiere in India. Being showcased as a concept at the 2020 Auto Expo in February, it is the second Kia car after the highly successful Seltos to be entirely 'made in India'. The Sonet was also presented in GT Line trim with the 1.0L turbo petrol and the 1.5L turbo diesel engines. It debuted a myriad of first-in-segment features in the subcompact SUV segment in the Indian market. It was learnt that Kia Sonet will be launched during the festive season around September-October 2020 in India. Kia Sonet price is expected to be in range of Rs 7-12 Lakhs (Ex. Toyota Fortuner TRD Launched at Rs 34.98 Lakhs

Toyota India launched the Fortuner TRD limited edition at a starting price of Rs 34.98 Lakhs (Ex-showroom India, except Kerala) in the country. Specially designed by Toyota Racing Development (TRD) for India, it is available in two trims: 4x2 AT diesel and 4x4 AT diesel. The latter costs Rs 38.66 Lakhs. The limited edition SUV comes in dual-tone Pearl white color along with a dual-tone dashboard. Toyota Fortuner TRD Edition bookings are open across all the company authorized dealerships in India. 2020 Maruti S-Cross BS6 Petrol Launched at Rs 8.39 Lakhs

Maruti Suzuki launched the 2020 S-Cross BS6 petrol at a starting price of Rs 8.39 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. The crossover was introduced in four grades: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The bookings for Maruti S-Cross BS6 petrol had already commenced a couple of weeks back at initial payment of Rs 11,000 and now it has reached the dealerships as well to go on sale. Being Maruti's flagship product and first car to be sold via NEXA, it has been launched to commemorate the fifth anniversary of NEXA premium range of dealerships. The 2020 Maruti S-Cross BS6 petrol does not come with any cosmetic updates at the outside and the same design from the BS4 model is carried over while powered by the BS6 compliant 1.5L 4-cylinder K15 petrol engine with the next-generation Smart Hybrid technology. Read More

The 2020 KTM 250 Duke BS6 also gets several new features in the form of full LED headlamps with DRLs and dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode as standard. But now the entry-level variant of the 3 Series has been reintroduced at Rs 70,000 more than that of its BS4 counterpart. The current pricing makes the 320d Sport the second most affordable car in the BMW 3 Series line-up. The Sports trim is positioned below the Luxury Line variant. As compared to the 320d Luxury Line trim, the 320d Sport misses out on several features that include a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, ambient interior lightings, Apple CarPlay connectivity, leather upholstery, Luxury Line exterior package, and Parking Assist.
