Yamaha FZ-Fi and FZS-Fi Prices Increased Ahead of Diwali

Yamaha Motor India gives a second price hike of Rs 1000 to both it’s FZ Fi and FZS Fi models

Yamaha Motor India is celebrating the festival of lights - Diwali by giving a second price hike of Rs 1000 on its FZ series. The Yamaha FZ Fi was previously available at a price tag of Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom). Now that the company has increased its price by Rs 1000, the new price stands at Rs 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom). When we talk about the Yamaha FZS Fi, the motorcycle is now available for Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom), after an increase of Rs 1000. Earlier, it was priced at Rs 1.03 lakh (ex-showroom).

Cosmetically, both the FZ series get a muscular look. Upfront, the bikes sport an all-LED headlamp. Other design highlights include a 13-litre fuel-tank, single-seat setup, and an all-digital instrument cluster.

Mechanically, both 2020 Yamaha FZ-Fi and FZS Fi is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. While being mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the motor churns out 12 bhp power and 13.6 Nm of peak torque. Suspension duties here are handled by conventional telescopic forks upfront and mono-shock towards the rear. 


Both Yamaha FZ Fi and FZS Fi compete against the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R and also, the Honda X-Blade in the naked 160cc streetfighter segment. Recently, Yamaha also updated the FZS Fi Dark Night Edition with Bluetooth connectivity for Rs 2500. Interested customers can get this feature added to the standard model by paying Rs 3000 more.
