Yamaha India has launched the MT-15 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition at a sticker price of Rs 1.48 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. It gets visual updates in the form of MotoGP inspired badging while retaining the same mechanicals including the engine, suspensions and braking system. The Japanese bikemaker had earlier introduced the Monster Energy Yamaha Motogp Edition of the FZ 25 in the Indian market. For those asking, Yamaha MT-15 MotoGP Edition has a kerb weight of only 138 kgs.
The bike gets side-stand engine cut-off, an A&S clutch, single-channel ABS, and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system on a Delta box frame as standard features. Moreover, it is equipped with several other bells and whistles such as Uni-level seat with grab bar, Multi-Function Negative LCD Instrument Cluster, Bi Functional LED Headlight, LED Tail-light, and an Under cowl. The MotoGP Edition flaunts Yamaha MotoGP branding on the tank shrouds, the fuel tank and side panels. It is being introduced in a unique MotoGP inspired black color while it gets Monster Energy graphics and a golden Yamaha logo at the fuel tank. The bike can be booked at a token payment of Rs 2,000/- at Yamaha dealerships.
The MotoGP Edition retains the same 155 cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve engine which develops top power of 18.2 bhp at 10,000 rpm and peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed transmission. It is nearly Rs 2,500 more expensive than the regular variants of the MT-15 in the Indian market. As far as dimensions are concerned, it measures 2,020 mm in length, 800 mm in width and 1,070 mm in height while having a ground clearance 170 mm and wheelbase of 1,335 mm. The fuel tank capacity is rated at 10 litres. It comes with telescopic forks as front suspension and linked-type monoshock at the rear. The braking duties are helmed by disc units at both front and rear.

Owned by BMW, Mini is preparing for a comprehensive overhaul of its entire vehicle range, including the recently unveiled Mini Cooper 3-door hatchback, which will be available with both electric and petrol propulsion options. While Mini had previously not officially announced a five-door variant for the iconic hatchback, raising the possibility of it being replaced by the forthcoming Aceman EV SUV, this is no longer the case. It is also expected that Mini will offer three-door Coopers, five-door hatchbacks, convertibles, Acemans, and Countrymans in the future.
