Yamaha India has launched the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid & Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid at a starting price of Rs 76,830 (Ex-showroom, Delhi) in the country. Both the scooters will be available in 7 exterior colors which include 4 new shades. Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Yamaha Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid come with a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) System with added functionality of Hybrid power assist. The scooter will rival the likes of TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Access 125 in the Indian market.
The duo come with lots of exciting features in the form of a Class-C LED Headlamp, metal plates, colored wheel stripes, brush guard and block pattern tyres. A special mention goes to the fully digital instrument cluster which boasts of 'Power Assist' indicator to show the working of Hybrid System. The scooters also get a 190mm front disc brake with Unified Brake System (UBS). The disc variants are also equipped with Yamaha’s Bluetooth enabled Yamaha Motorcycle Connect-X App that provides a host of convenient features like Answer Back, Locate my Vehicle, Riding History, Parking Record & Hazard. Some other common features on both the scooters include Side Stand Engine Cut off Switch, Pass switch, Multi-Function key with seat opener, Wide 110mm Rear Tyre and a large 21-litre under seat storage.
The scooters are powered by a 125cc air-cooled fuel injected (Fi) blue core petrol engine which generates maximum power output of 8.1 bhp at 6500 rpm and peak torque performance of 10.3 Nm at 5000 rpm. Having a kerb weight of 99 kgs, the duo comes with a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) System which functions as an electric motor to give a power assist when you accelerate from a stop, reducing the insecurity caused by the wobble during start-outs in tandem riding or during uphill climbs. Moreover, the SMG also serves as a motor by reversing the direction of electricity release, providing benefits that include a Quiet Engine Start System and Automatic Stop & Start System.
