2019 Audi R8 Coupe And Spyder Unveiled

Audi has revealed the 2019 R8 Coupe and Spyder. The sports car will go on sale in Europe from next year and will be available in India soon after that.

The German luxury car manufacturer, Audi has unveiled the 2019 R8 Coupe and Spyder. The design of the facelifted model is very sharp and belligerent. The car gets a new front splitter and large air intakes. There will be an optional styling package that includes various highlights to the front splitter, the side trims and the diffuser.

The designers have given three hood slits to the new R8 which pays homage to the legendary 1980 Ur-Quattro. The new model has got three-piece engine cover which is available in either plastic or carbon fibre. The cars will be available in two new colours - Kemora Grey and Ascari Blue. There is an option for high-gloss black badges.

The interior of the car is offered in three colour options - pastel silver with rock grey contrasting stitching, palomino brown with steel grey stitching and black with utopia blue stitching. While the there is an option of R8 performance design package where the interior is wrapped with Alcantara leather along with carbon fibre trims and Mercato blue accents.

The suspension has been revised for better stability and precision. The car comes with an optional dynamic steering system. The Electronic Stabilization Control system has been improved for better braking. There is an option for carbon ceramic brake discs and a carbon fibre-reinforced polymer/aluminium front stabilizer. Both R8 model, coupe and spyder sit on 20-inch milled wheels.

Powering these models is a 5.2-litre V10 engine which is offered in two different states of tune. The first engine tune enables to produce 562 BHP and 550 Nm of torque. This propels the coupe from 0-100 km/hr in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 324 km/hr. The higher state of tune produces 611 BHP and 580 Nm of torque. This enables the car to hit a top speed of 331 km/hr and it can do a 0-100 km/hr sprint in 3.1 seconds. The supercar will go on sale in Europe from next year and will be available in India soon after that.
