Ola Electric’s co-founder & CEO - Bhavish Aggarwal shared the glimpses of the upcoming electric scooters - S1 and S1 Pro in production. Furthermore, the company plans to begin test rides from November 10. The brand received an overwhelming response as it recorded combined sales worth Rs 1100 crore in just two days. Talking about the next purchase window, it will open on November 1, 2021.

Ola’s Future Factory in Tamil Nadu will have a production capacity of 10 million vehicles per year. It has been built with an investment of Rs 2400 crore and further comes equipped with over 3000 robots. Besides that, it is also going to be the world’s largest factory to be run entirely by women. Having said this, Ola Electric has employed over 10,000 women.
Ola Electric S1 scooter is priced at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). While the S1 Pro is retailed at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). However, in states like Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra, the prices for the scooters are quite low due to the subsidies. Both variants of the scooter gets features like a massive 7-inch TFT instrument console with touchscreen function, all-LED lighting, Mood display, 3 GB RAM, Cruise Control, Smartphone pairing and many more.

Performance-wise, Ola S1 comes with a 2.98 kWh battery. While the S1 Pro is powered by a 3.97 kWh battery pack. Both scooters generate identical power of 114 bhp and peak torque of 58 Nm. Talking about Ola S1, it can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in just 3.6 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 90 kmph. The Ola S1 Pro, on the other hand, does a 0-40 kmph sprint in a mere 3 seconds with a top speed of 115 kmph.
