Maruti has started accepting the bookings for the next-gen Ertiga and it will go on sale from November 21.

The domestic carmaker, Maruti is all set to bring the next generation of a 7-seater MPV, the Ertiga. The manufacturer has started to take the bookings of the new MPV at all Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships.

The next-gen Ertiga is bigger in all dimensions when compared with its predecessor. This increase in dimension has allowed more legroom in the third row. The new MPV is developed on a fifth-gen Heartect platform and this has made the vehicle’s structure more strong and rigid.

The car gets new projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, redesigned front grille and chrome treatment at various places. On the inside it gets a dual-tone interior, the dashboard is ergonomically laid out and the level of craftsmanship has been improved.

The Ertiga will be available in five exterior paint options – Pearl Metallic Auburn Red, Metallic Magma Grey, Pearl Metallic Oxford Blue, Pearl Arctic White and Metallic Silky Silver. There will be four variants of both petrol and diesel in which the Ertiga will be available – L, V, Z and Z+.

The Ertiga will get two engine options – a 1.5-litre petrol engine which makes 105 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque or a 1.3-litre turbo diesel engine which produces 90 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. This K15 petrol motor made its debut in the Maruti Ciaz. These engines come with SHVS technology. Both the engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and there will be an option for a 4-speed automatic gearbox in the V and Z variants of the petrol engine.

Maruti has sold over 4.18 lakh units of Ertiga since the launch. The new-gen car will go on sale from November 21 and customers can book their vehicles by paying Rs. 11,000/- at the dealership. When launched it will continue to take on the likes of Mahindra Marazzo and Honda BR-V.
