The new generation Maruti Wagon R is all set to launch on 23rd January in India. The bookings have commenced across all Arena dealerships for Rs. 11,000/- and customers can book the new car online as well. The automaker has revealed detailed images of the new Wagon R including the features and even the platform of the car.
As you can see, the design language has evolved over its predecessor and makes it look grown up. It has also got bigger to provide more room inside for the passengers as well as the boot. The third generation Wagon R is based on the heartect platform and will be offered with two petrol engine options - 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre.
The 1.0-litre K10B engine will produce a maximum power of 68 BHP and a peak torque of 90 Nm. While the new 1.2-litre K12M, 4-cylinder engine will produce 83 BHP and 113 Nm. Both the engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission while the bigger 1.2-litre motor will get an AMT option as well.
Maruti has equipped the new Wagon R with driver side airbag, reverse parking sensors, ABS, EBD, seatbelt reminder and speed alert system as standard across all the variants. It will also come with new features such as touchscreen infotainment system. The interiors look fresh, the dashboard has a new design which makes the new Wagon R a much awaited product.
