New-gen Honda City is expected to come with comprehensive cosmetic updates and new BS 6 engines.

Honda Car India released the official teaser image of the new-gen 2020 Honda City ahead of its unveiling on March 16, 2020. The 5th generation Honda City will be launched in India before April 2020. Competing against the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento and Hyundai Verna, this new-gen sedan will be quite similar to the Thailand-spec model that was unveiled last year. However, certain India-specific changes will be incorporated, thus we expect it to be a feature-rich model.

Under the hood, the 2020 Honda City will pack a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that will produce 100 bhp power and 200 Nm torque. There will also be a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that will kick out 117 bhp power and 145 Nm torque. It is expected to be available with both manual and automatic gearboxes.

2020 Honda City: Exterior Update

The front fascia flaunts sharper LED headlamps and integrated LED DRLs. It gets a redesigned front grille, bumper area, and fog lamps, thus giving it a sportier look. The rear gets an updated LED tail lamp cluster along with a new bumper.
