MINI has introduced the 2019 MINI Cooper S JCW for the European market to comply with the Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standard. The update includes the integration of particulate filter to comply with the new emission norms. However, MINI claims that the changes hasn't affected the performance of this car.
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine still produces 228 BHP with the CO2 emissions rated at 158 – 157 g/km for the six-speed manual transmission and at 142 – 140 g/km for the eight-speed automatic transmission. The 0-100 km/hr sprint is achieved in just 6.3 seconds by the MINI Cooper S JCW, which is a pocket rocket.
The updated model's particulate filter is integrated into the sports exhaust system of the MINI, which they claim that it still produces a more evocative sound and also meets the strict emissions standard at the same time. The new MINI Cooper S JCW will be available for order along with its Convertible version on January 18, 2019 in Europe, with production scheduled to begin in March 2019.
