2019 Toyota Camry Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 36.95 Lakhs

The new generation Camry has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 36.95 lakhs.

Toyota has launched the new generation Camry which is based on the new Lexus ES platform and the Japanese automaker calls it as Toyota New Global Architecture. The executive saloon has been priced at Rs. 36.95 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is an introductory price. The are substantial changes in the car including new exterior, interior and a ton of new features.

Mechanically, the new Toyota Camry remains more or less the same. Powering the 2019 Camry is a 2.5-litre hybrid petrol engine which produces 176 BHP of power at 5700 RPM and 221 Nm of torque at 3600-5200 RPM. The electric motor additionally produces 118 BHP and 202 Nm of peak torque which makes a total power output of 208 BHP. This engine is paired to a CVT automatic transmission.

The Japanese carmaker is claiming 23.27 km/l of fuel efficiency with the new Camry. The exterior has a clean yet sharp design which has evolved over its predecessor. The interior comes with a stylish dashboard and a ton of new features on offer. Some of the key features include 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, heads-up display, ABS, EBD, 10 airbags, etc.

The 2019 Toyota Camry will compete with the likes of Honda Accord Hybrid, Skoda Superb and Volkswagen Passat.
