The upcoming motorcycle will be based on the Honda H'ness CB350 platform

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India are in the news after a while. Recently, the Japanese two-wheeler giant teased an image of its upcoming motorcycle with its launch scheduled for February 16, 2021. Honda is looking to expand its footprint in the lucrative Indian market following the success of Honda H'ness CB350. Recently, the cruiser motorcycle crossed 10,000 sales milestone in the domestic market in a short span of time. The upcoming bike is rumored to be either a scrambler or a Cafe racer. According to various media reports, the upcoming motorcycle could be named Honda CB350RS. It will be based on the same platform as the Honda H'ness CB 350 cruiser to reduce costs. Expect the new Honda CB350RS to retail at a price tag of Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom), India.

Talking about the upcoming two-wheeler, it will be sportier in appearance. In comparison to the H'ness CB 350, the chrome elements will give way to black accents with a new taillight cluster. There will be different colour options as well as change in the riding position thanks to the introduction of a new handlebar. Other features will include all LED lighting alongside an LCD instrument cluster.

Talking about performance, Honda CB 350RS is likely be powered by a 348cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This is same unit that powers Honda the H'ness CB350 which will be modified or retuned for the new scrambler. The engine in current guise delivers 21 bhp of maximum power output and 30 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Other mechanical components like suspension system, front & rear discs, dual-channel ABS, slipper, and clutch will be borrowed from the CB350.
