A few days back, we had told you that 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift prices have been leaked online ahead of its official launch. Now, we bring to you the ARAI Certified mileage figures of the new sedan, which are much higher than those claimed by Hyundai. For those asking, the 2020 Verna sedan is the only one in its segment that is available with most number of powertrain-transmission options. It rivals the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Toyota Yaris, Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento in the Indian market.
Starting with the naturally aspirated 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine which can be availed with both a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox, it has fuel economy of 17.70kmpl and 18.45kmpl, respectively. The engine delivers a top power of 113bhp and peak torque of 144Nm. Coming to the 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, it returns mileage of 19.2kmpl while developing power output and torque performance of 118bhp and 177Nm, respectively. It comes exclusively mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. Last but not the least, The 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine is offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission with fuel efficiency of 25kmpl and 21.30kmpl, respectively. The engine churns out 113bhp and 250Nm.
2020 Hyundai Verna facelift is available in a total of 11 variants: 1.5L Petrol MT S, 1.5L Petrol MT SX, 1.5L Petrol MT SX (O), 1.5L Petrol CVT SX, 1.5L Petrol CVT SX (O), 1.0L Petrol DCT SX (O), 1.5L Diesel MT S+, 1.5L Diesel MT SX, 1.5L Diesel MT SX (O), 1.5L Diesel AT SX and 1.5L Diesel AT SX (O). The leaked price sheet reveals that the petrol variants are placed in a domain of Rs 9.30-13.84 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) while the diesel variants come in a range of Rs 10.65-15.09 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). The sedan comes with several new features and an updated design. The deliveries of the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift are likely to commence post May 15, 2020 in the country.
