Porsche revealed the 2020 911 at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Porsche revealed the next-gen 911 at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Porsche 911 has been in production for more than five decades and in 2020, the company will launch the eighth generation of the car. The manufacturer claims that this car will be the greatest sports car in history. Moreover, Porsche might bring the new 911 with electric motors also.

The car retains the classic 911 silhouette but there are many major changes in the car. The headlights, air intakes, LED DRLs, bonnet, fenders and many more things are redesigned. The taillight now runs across the width of the car. The door handles smoothen out with the body. Base Carrera model rides on 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch at the rear, while Carrera S variants sit on larger 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels.

The cabin has been updated significantly, it now has a new instrument cluster, revised switchgear, a 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen display. It also comes with a camera-based warning and brake assist system as standard. The night vision assist with a thermal imaging is available as an option.

Powering the car is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine. The base 911 Carrera has 385 BHP while the Carrera S makes 444 BHP. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed manual transmission as standard but one can opt for 8-speed dual clutch transmission. Moreover, both the cars are available with a four-wheel steering option.
