Bajaj has launched the 2021 Pulsar 180 at a price tag of Rs 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. The new motorcycle will be replacing the semi-faired 180F that made its debut way back in 2019. As for the price, the new Pulsar 180 is Rs 6000 cheaper than the Pulsar 180F which was retailed at Rs 1,14,003 (ex-showroom). Bookings for the new motorcycle have already commenced. Also, it has started reaching dealerships across the country.
In terms of design, the Bajaj Pulsar 180 is mostly similar to the outgoing 180F. Upfront, it features the same conventional halogen headlight with bulb indicators. The rear end boasts of an LED tail-lamp. Talking about the features, the new Pulsar 180 retains the Digi-analogue instrument cluster from its predecessor.
Mechanically, the Bjaja Pulsar 180 is powered by a 178.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power output of 17 bhp at 8500rpm and a peak torque of 14.2 bhp at 6500rpm. The motor is further linked to a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork upfront and a mono-shock setup towards the rear end. In terms of the brakes, the bike gets a 280mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc coupled with single-channel ABS. Besides these, the newly launched Pulsar 180 weighs 145 kg which is nearly 10 kgs lighter than the 180F.
Talking about the color options, the bike is offered in Laser Black and Nuclear Blue colors. The bike will rival the likes of TVS Apache RTR 180 and Honda Hornet 2.0 in the Indian market.
