The updated BMW R 1250 GS adventure bike range could be offered in the ‘40 years of GS’ livery

BMW Motorrad is all set to launch the updated 1250 GS Adventure bike range on July 8, 2021, in the country. A few days back, the bike maker had started accepting bookings for the BMW R 1250 GS and GSA. All the interested buyers can get the booking done at the authorized BMW Motorrad dealerships across India. 

The updated 1250 GS adventure bike range gets Dynamic Traction Control as standard. BMW has further equipped both bikes with its combi-braking system called BMW Integral ABS Pro system. It basically works along with the six-axis IMU to optimize the braking performance. Other feature highlights include adaptive cornering lights that come with a provision to adjust the height of the headlight beam, hill start control, heated seats & heated grips with 5 settings, which is controlled through the TFT instrument console. 


Performance-wise, the 2021 R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure are powered by a 1,254cc, twin-cylinder boxer engine that churns out a top power of 136 bhp at 7750 rpm and a peak torque of 143 Nm at 6250 rpm. The motor features a 'Shift Cam Technology', which is basically a variable valve timing system. BMW claims that the updated bikes come with a new ‘Eco’ mode which adjusts the torque and power delivery to improve fuel efficiency. 

The standard R 1250 GS is available in Triple Black and Solid White color options. While the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure pairs the Triple Black with a new Ice Grey color. The bikes might also be offered in the ‘40 years of GS’ livery marking the 40th anniversary of the brand. Besides these, the BMW white, red,and blue Rallye colors are also available.
