The BS6 Diavel 1260 is heavier by 5 kgs and tips the scale at 249 kgs. On the other hand, the 2021 BS6 Ducati Diavel 1260 S is 2 kgs lighter than the standard model. The chassis setup has been changed as the new model sits on a tubular steel Trellis frame with an aluminium swingarm. The suspension duties are helmed by fully adjustable 50 mm forks at front as well as rear. The Diavel 1260 S, instead, is equipped with a fully adjustable Öhlins 48 mm fork. The 2021 Diavel 1260 is compatible with the Ducati Link App which lets riders set 'journey mode' (a combination of Load Mode and Riding Mode) and personalize the parameters of each individual Riding Mode (ABS, Ducati Traction Control, etc.) via their smartphones. There are three riding modes namely Sport, Touring and Urban.

The naked bike also gets a TFT screen with a separate warning light module. The dashboard has four different display modes. The Default mode provides a minimal must-have level of information, presented in an attentively styled manner. The other three, instead, are the classic Track, Full and City display modes associated with the Riding Modes. The Diavel 1260 S also features the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) which connects the smartphone to the dashboard via Bluetooth and lets the rider see and handle incoming calls/text messages on the screen and display info on any music being listened to. The electronics package includes Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Power Launch (DPL) and Cruise Control.

Additionally, the bike also gets the “Dragster” mode coiled which can be unleashed thanks to Ducati Power Launch (DPL). Mechanically, the 2021 BS6 Ducati Diavel 1260 is powered by a 1262cc Ducati Testastretta DVT engine with variable cam timing which makes 3 bhp more power than its predecessor. The twin-cylinder Diavel 1260 puts out maximum power of 162 bhp at 9,500 rpm and peak torque of 129 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The gearbox is a six-speed unit while the Diavel 1260 S also gets a two-way Quick Shifter as standard.
