Ducati is all set to unveil its latest offering, the 2021 Multistrada V4, globally on October 15, 2020. The Italian motorcycle maker announced on social media about the plans to unveil the latest model in its portfolio. The 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 will mostly arrive in the Indian market by next year. The company has also launched a page dedicated to the upcoming motorcycle with mention of four theorems. To add to the intrigue, as we move closer to the unveiling date, the first “4" lighter in shade than 2” was revealed on 28th September with more revelations coming on 1st, 8th and 3rd of the month. This highlights the importance that Ducati is giving to the Multistrada V4. All-New Ducati Multistrada V4 rival would be the BMW R 1250 GS globally.
This is an all-new Multistrada V4 to replace the current Multistrada 1260 S and the off-roading 1260 Enduro variant. As of now, the current Multistrada models are equipped with 17-inch rims and sports-bike specific rubber, small fuel tank and sportier suspension system. The Adventure segment oriented Enduro trim comes with a 19-inch front alloy wheel, bigger fuel tank of 29 litres and al-together different suspension set-up. The 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 is going to be a combination of the same. The Multistrada bikes are more known for their street riding despite the presence of off-roading capacities in the Enduro range. The spy shots highlight the off-roading capacity of the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4.
In terms of features in the bike, the Indian buyers can expect TFT instrument panel, Bosch cornering ABS (anti-lock braking system), cruise control, Ducati Multimedia system and wheelie control system among others. Expect the core design of the Multistrada to reflect in the upcoming V4 with minor tweaks such as redesigned LED and fairing to give it a distinctive look.
Expectations are rife of the engine being the same as the one powering the other Ducati bikes like the Panigale V4 and the streetfighter V4. The 1103 cc engine delivers 210 hp of maximum power output and 123 Nm of peak torque on the streetfighter V4. so, if the upcoming Multistrada V4 delivers the same performance, this would be the most powerful ADV in production worldwide. The upcoming Ducati Multistrada V4 will be expected to come in two variants- standard and S. More details will come in the coming weeks as the launch date comes closer.
