2021 Ducati SuperSport 950 takes inspiration from the Panigale V4

Ducati has launched the 2021 SuperSport 950 in the Indian market. The bike is offered in two trims - SuperSport 950 and SuperSport 950 S. Talking about the price, the base variant is retailed at Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom). While the SuperSport S falls in the range of Rs 15.49 lakh - Rs 15.69 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the color options. Bookings are now open at all the authorized Ducati dealerships across the country. The deliveries are likely to begin anytime soon. The bike gets a few key updates in terms of design and features. However, the engine and the basic underpinnings largely remain the same.


2021 Ducati SuperSport 950: Design and Color Options

The Ducati sport-tourer features new LED headlamps flanked by small air intakes, new fairings, a redesigned windscreen, among many others. The twin air ducts on the side panels divert the heat away from the rider. All in all, the bike gets a sculpted look. The entry-level trim of the SuperSport 950 is available in a single ‘Ducati Red’ color option. While the top-end trim is offered in Ducati Red and Arctic White paint schemes. 


2021 Ducati SuperSport 950: Features

In terms of features, the 2021 Ducati SuperSport comes packed with a 4.3-inch TFT display. The bike further gets a more sophisticated electronics package that includes Bosch Cornering ABS, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down EVO. Ducati has equipped the sport tourer with three riding modes - Sport, Touring, Urban. 


2021 Ducati SuperSport 950: Engine and Underpinnings

Performance-wise, the 2021 SuperSport gets the same 937cc liquid-cooled L-twin engine in an updated format to meet the BS6 emission norms. The motor further generates a top power of 110 bhp and a peak torque of 93 Nm. Suspension duties are taken care of by 43 mm Marzocchi USD forks upfront and a Sachs mono-shock set up towards the rear. Both come with full adjustability. The top-end ‘S’ variant gets a more premium Ohlins setup. In terms of the brake, the bike gets dual 320 mm discs with Brembo M4-32 monobloc calipers at the front and a single 245 mm disc with a Brembo two-piston caliper towards the rear.
