Jeep India unveiled the Compass Facelift in the country last week. Now the automaker is all set to launch the updated SUV on February 4, 2021. As for the price, we can expect it to start from Rs 16 lakhs (ex-showroom). The SUV will be sold in four variants in India - Sport, Longitude Option, Limited Option, and a new range-topping S variant.
Cosmetically, the 2021 Compass Facelift gets a bold and aggressive look in comparison to its predecessor. Upfront, it features a chrome-finished seven-slat honeycomb mesh grille. In addition, the SUV also offers revamped headlamps with new reflectors and LED DRLs. At the sides, it will cater to a new set of 5-spoke alloy wheels. There are hardly any changes done to the rear end profile of the vehicle.
The 2021 Compass Facelift gets a redesigned cabin. Jeep has further equipped the SUV with a plethora of premium features. These include a new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an all-new 10.25-inch instrument cluster, and wireless charging. The infotainment unit comes with Jeep’s new UConnect5 connected car tech. The redesigned dashboard layout gives a wider appearance to the SUV. Besides these, it also gets redesigned AC vents and HVAC control. Other feature highlights include a 360-degree camera, powered front seats with ventilation, cruise control, climate control, panoramic sunroof among many others.
The Jeep Compass Facelift will retain the same powertrain options under the hood. There will be a 2.0-litre diesel unit that generates 170 bhp of power output and 350Nm of torque. The engine can be availed with a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. While the 1.4-litre Multi-air petrol motor will produce 163 bhp of maximum power output and 250Nm of peak torque. The unit will be linked to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT transmission.
