2021 Jeep Compass facelift to get cosmetic updates and an all-new interior

Jeep India is all set to launch the Compass facelift on January 27, 2021 in the country. The updated SUV will get styling tweaks and an all-new interior. It was unveiled a few days back in the Indian market. As for the price, we can expect it to cost around Rs 16 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift retains the same silhouette as the outgoing model. Cosmetically, it gets an updated seven-slat honeycomb mesh grille upfront. The revised headlamps with new reflectors and LED DRLs give the SUV a bold look from the front. The front bumper has been tweaked a bit. Other design bits include a large air dam, new fog light housing, and alloy wheels. The rear end of the SUV hardly gets any changes.

The Compass facelift gets a completely revamped interior. The updated SUV features a new floating 10.1-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It is placed in the centre of the dashboard. Below the screen, there are new AC vents and HVAC controls. The dashboard further gets double-stitched leather inserts. Other feature highlights include an all-new 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a new three-spoke steering wheel, a 360-degree parking camera, a powered tailgate, wireless charging, and panoramic sunroof. The infotainment system comes with Jeep’s new UConnect5 connected car tech.

Under the bonnet, the updated Jeep Compass will retain the same powertrain options as its predecessor. The 1.4-litre Multi-air petrol engine will develop a maximum power of 163 bhp and a peak torque of 250 Nm. This engine will be offered with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. The 2.0-litre diesel engine will produce 170 bhp power and 350 Nm torque. The unit will be linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox along with 9-speed automatic gearbox as an option.
