Kinetic Green to Launch E-Luna in February: Pre-Bookings Start on January 26

Kinetic Green has made it official that pre-bookings for the iconic E-Luna will commence on Republic Day, January 26, 2024. The brand is bringing back the famous Luna on Indian roads. The company is all set to launch the Luna in an all-electric form in February 2024. Customers will be able to book the electric Luna for a token amount of INR 500 through the company’s official website.

The Kinetic Luna was a famous bike and a common sight on roads in previous years, as it was a quick and cheap choice for personal mobility in small towns and in big cities across the nation. Kinetic Green has now brought back this famous name to the market. The Kinetic Luna scooter was famous for transcending the geography of the nation, and the company is confident that the electric Luna is going to be a perfect choice for a wide range of customers.

The brand announced recently that it will test out the new E-Luna in India in the first weeks of February. As the preferences for battery-powered two-wheelers have increased, several companies are launching their electric products in the market to be a part of this rapidly growing segment. Kinetic Green is also bringing back its electric model to offer buyers a quick and efficient riding experience. The E-Luna is specifically designed to cater to several functions, including small businesses and personal commuting. Its robust, advanced electric technology and updated features will provide a better riding experience. The brand aims to make the new E-Luna an appropriate option for customers in the market yet again.

The Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, Sulajja Firodia Motwani, said, “E-Luna is designed as a sturdy and durable EV, with the road conditions and driving requirements of consumers not only in metro and Tier 1 towns but for the tier-2, tier-3 cities and rural markets of India. It is designed to provide an efficient alternative to traditional petrol two-wheelers while addressing the evolving preferences of modern consumers."

The manufacturer has yet to reveal much information about the range and battery of the electric Luna, but it is expected to be unveiled with three powertrain choices: The first set will come equipped with a 2-kWh battery set rated for a certified range of 80km. The automaker is also planning to introduce a 1.5-kWh battery set for Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities with a claimed range of 40-45 km. The company is also looking to introduce a variant with a 3-kWh battery set, which will receive a certified range of 100-125 km.

Kinetic Green owns a manufacturing facility in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, which has the capacity to manufacture up to 5,000 units every month.
